Wellington Horse Trials Review!
This August Bank Holiday, we took Purple Horse Planners on the road for our very first trade stand!
Wellington was the perfect opportunity to take our planners out to meet the public. An affordable stand that wasn't too big and didn't require us to bring a marquee was just what we needed, so we seized the opportunity.
Early Starts
Fortunately, Wellington is just down the road for us, so the 30 minute trip allowed us to drive in each day. Leaving at around 7am each morning meant we got there with plenty of time to set up and grab some breakfast before the gates opened to the public.
With this being my first show as an exhibitor, I was a bit stressed about parking in the right place, remembering everything and - of course - the technology and mobile signal working! Thankfully everything went smoothly and I did not have any tech disasters.
Meeting The Public
It was lovely to meet so many of you - and it was especially nice to meet those who have already seen us on social media! Lots of you told us how much you loved our products and some of you have given us some great ideas for the future. Watch this space for new things to come!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello or bought something from us. We appreciate every conversation, every word of encouragement and every purchase. We hope you enjoy your horsey planners!
If you happened to pick up one of our Wellington discount codes, remember to use them by 31st October for 15% off your order.
Wellington Horse Trials - A Great Day Out for the Whole Family!
With classes from Pony Club and BE100 right up to FEI 3*, there is ample opportunity to watch grassroots and professional horses and riders complete all three phases. We even managed to catch a glimpse of Pippa Funnell and William Fox-Pitt in the show jumping and cross country!
If you're looking for a combination of eventing action, small business shopping and free entertainment for the kids, we can highly recommend Wellington International Horse Trials. Hopefully we'll see you there next year!
